Circleville, OH – April 18, 2008 – Over 200 ladies enjoyed the Berger Health Foundation’s 4th Annual Ladies Night Out event held on April 12 at AMVETS. The Las Vegas-style evening raised more than $31,000, with proceeds benefitting Berger Hospice Care and the Foundation.

Over 70 gentlemen physicians and community leaders, including NBC4 meteorologist Jym Ganahl, volunteered for the cause by serving as waiters and game dealers for the evening. Don Bradley, Constance Care Home Healthcare, received the most tips, collecting nearly 20 percent of the $1,015 raised by the waiters. Guests enjoyed a lavish spread of appetizers and desserts, while taking part in a variety of casino-style games.

Charlie Jackson, Pickaway County Visitors Bureau, provided music for the evening. Area businesses and individuals offered more than 40 items for the silent auction, which raised nearly $2,900. And guests enjoyed colorful backdrops created by Logan Elm art teacher Heath Bennett and his students.

E.M. Smith Jewelers generously donated the ˝-carat Hearts on Fire diamond pendant, which was raffled at the event. Kim Harter, Store Manager of E.M. Smith, presented the pendant to lucky winner Danielle Morrison.

Major sponsors for the evening included CBIZ, Riverside Radiology, OhioHealth and Healthplex/Trinity/Miles McClellan Team.

The Berger Health Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, which promotes philanthropy to enhance equipment, technology, facilities and services offered by Berger Hospital and Berger Health System.
