How You Can Help
Only through your generous donatins can Berger Health System provide the best services and health
care options available. We also welcome members of the community to participate by serving on
the Founation board, committees and task forces*, and are always accepting new volunteers to help
stuff envelopes, staff events, and more.
* Please note that only Foundation members may serve on the
Foundation board, committees, and task forces.
Your contributions help us to:
- Build new facilities in underserved and developing communities
- Make capital improvements to existing facilities so that we can provide enhanced services
and expanded specialty healthcare services
- Support ground-breaking educational programs and grant local health care scholarships to
individuals in need, thereby helping to ensure continued access to the best professional care
- Reach out to the community and those in need with programs for the frail, elderly, and
disabled and the economically disadvantaged
Your gift can be given to our general fund or be specifically directed to a program or project
of your interest:
- The General Excellence Fund provides funding for
equipment, programs, capital improvements, and more at Berger Hospital.
- The Cancer Center Fund is supporting the
construction of a new oncology clinic at the hospital.
- The Berger Hospice Care Fund helps patients
with life-limiting illnesses who do not have the financial means to pay for hospice care.
- The Maternity Fund supports services,
equipment, and facility improvements at Berger Hospital's Maternity Center.
- The Circle of Caring Fund helps the frail
and elderly to remain independent in their own home.
- The Scholarship Fund provides health care
scholarhsips for residents of the Pickaway County area, who plan to live and work in
Pickaway County.
We are currently seeking new board members from the community, and need interested, dynamic
individuals to serve on our Membership, Planned Giving, Events, Fund Raising, and other
Committees. We also welcome volunteers to help with office tasks, grant writing, event management,
and other needs.
If you are interested in becoming involved and making a vital contribution to the health of the
community, please contact the Executive Director, Ruth E. Messick, at 740.420.8209.
