Letter from the Executive Director

Welcome to the Berger Health Foundation Website!

Hello from the desk of the Executive Director.  As an introduction, I am  Larry Halm and I joined the Berger family in October 2009.  I am a native Ohioan  being born and raised in the Salem area.

Since my first day on the job, I have been warmly welcomed by the employees of  the system.  I hope, like me, that you can sense the pride of being a Berger employee every time you interact with a fellow employee of Berger.

This spirit of pride and teamwork is a large part of the Berger Way, our pledge to our customers and our fellow employees.   The other components are an attitude of excellence and a commitment to compassionate care. You see them in action everyday at Berger.

Please take a look around the website.  You will find information on our history, mission, programs, funds that we steward, tools to help with planned giving illustrations, a listing our community board of directors, information on our upcoming special events and more!  Check back often as we promise to keep the website updated and fresh.

Now let me introduce Jerad Wood who came to the Foundation in January 2007 and does just about anything needed for the Foundation and our donors.  He is a vital part of the Foundation team and coordinates our special events, all of the gift processing and so many other vital tasks. Jerad was born and raised in Circleville.
