Ladies Night Out
Over 200 ladies enjoyed the Berger Health Foundation's 5th Annual Ladies Night Out event held on April 25, 2009 at AMVETS. The Las
Vegas-style evening raised more than $20,000 for local health care services.
Over 70 gentlemen providers and community leaders, including Andy Groom, former Ohio State punter, volunteered for the cause by serving as waiters and game dealers for the evening. Guests enjoyed a lavish spread of appetizers and desserts, and music provided by Charlie Jackson, of the Pickaway County Visitors Bureau, while taking part in a variety of casino-style games.
Area businesses and individuals offered more than 40 items for the silent auction, which raised over $2,500. E.M. Smith Jewelers generously donated a Hearts on Fire diamond pendant, which was raffled at the event. Kim Harter, of E.M. Smith, presented the pendant to lucky winner Karen Huffman.
