The Rainbow Fund at Berger Health Foundation Receives Gift from Jeff Ankrom Memorial Golf Outing

Circleville, OH – June 25, 2010 – Harry Rubin and Milt Emerine, representing the Jeff Ankrom Memorial Golf Outing, recently presented a gift of more than $23,000 to the Rainbow Fund at Berger Health Foundation. The funds were raised from the generous sponsors, donors, golfers and presenting sponsor, The Savings Bank, at the annual tournament, held June 18 at Crown Hill Golf Club.

Friends of Berger Support Employee Education Through Donation

Circleville, OH – May 19, 2010 – The Friends of Berger Hospital recently presented a $1,500 check to the Berger Health Foundation to support education opportunities for employees at Berger Health System. Employees can apply for scholarships to attend seminars and/or continuing education classes to gain certification in a field directly related to health care.

Logan Elm and Circleville Softball Raise Funds for Hospice

Circleville, OH – May 4, 2010 – Berger Health System’s hospice team was recently honored by local athletes for their outstanding patient care efforts. The Logan Elm and Circleville varsity softball teams joined forces to hold a fundraising effort to benefit the hospice program.

E.M. Smith Donates Diamond for May 1 Ladies Night

Circleville, OH – April 24, 2010 – Ladies are invited to join the Berger Health Foundation on Saturday, May 1, for a Las Vegas-style evening. The Foundation will host its 6th Annual Ladies Night Out fundraiser from 7 to 11 p.m. at AMVETS.

 

Kim Harter, Store Manager of E.M. Smith Jewelers, recently presented a Hearts on Fire diamond pendant to Ladies Night Out representatives. E.M. Smith has generously donated the pendant which ladies can try their luck at winning at the event.

Foundation Purchases Digital Mammography for Berger

Circleville, OH – March 8, 2010 –Women will have greater access to high-tech digital mammograms in Pickaway County thanks to the Berger Health Foundation.

 

The Foundation recently approved the purchase of a new digital mammography unit for Berger Health System, which will be installed at Berger’s Women’s Health Center, located at 1434 Circleville Plaza Drive near Wal-Mart.

Halm Announced as Executive Director of Berger Health Foundation

Circleville, Ohio – October 8, 2009 – Larry Halm was recently selected to serve as the Executive Director of the Berger Health Foundation.  In this role, he will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support Berger Health System’s mission to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient healthcare services for all residents of Pickaway County.

Berger Health Foundation and Pickaway Community Foundation Receive Charlotte R. Schmidlapp Grant

Circleville, OH - April 7, 2009 - The Berger Health Foundation and the Pickaway County Community Foundation recently partnered to accept a $30,000 grant from the Charlotte R. Schmidlapp Fund, Fifth Third Bank, Trustee.

Foundation Supporters Challenged to Make Life an Adventure

July 15, 2008 -- Circleville, OH Nearly 50 donors, volunteers and guests were challenged and encouraged to reach for the impossible at Monday night's Berger Health Foundation Annual Meeting. Diane and Hap Eaton presented photographs and anecdotes from their 10,300-mile bicycle trip across 28 states. Their ride raised awareness of Alpha 1, a lung and liver disorder that affects approximately 100,000 people in the United States, including an Eaton family member.

Berger Health Foundation Receives Final Grant Installment from Breast Cancer Fund of Ohio

September 4, 2008 - Circleville, OH Ruth Messick, Executive Director of Berger Health Foundation, announced that the Breast Cancer Fund of Ohio recently awarded the Foundation the final installment of a $5,000 grant to be used in support of local residents with breast cancer.
