Testimonials

When you support Berger Health Foundation, it is one thing to know that you are making a difference, and it is a far greater thing to actually meet those who are helped. Their stories are of hope, of love, of surviving and of letting go. Here are excerpts from some of those stories.

"My situation started on September 22, 2008 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. This was found after a yearly mammogram, biopsy and then surgery. I am now receiving radiation…this will be a 30-session series. My husband was diagnosed 12 days after I was with advanced kidney cancer which has spread to bone, lung and liver."

"It means so much to me to know there is someone and somewhere to turn when you need help. This is a very needed thing here in Pickaway County. Thanks for making cancer patients’ lives a little better. On behalf of myself and others who you help, thank all of you!"

"…starting back in June 2007, I went through surgery on my right lung. I then began chemo treatments at Berger. They started PET and CT scans on me every three months from there. They found more spots on my left lung…more surgery. On the round of PET and CT scans, I went back in for another biopsy. It was then discovered to be non-operable. They also cannot do radiation. So I’m back in chemo again. I have been told it is a matter of quality over quantity. My hat is off to all staff members and you people (Berger Health Foundation). Thank you again for your care and concern."
